Volunteer
Uncle Sam Wants You Volunteers are the LIFE of the Democratic Party. As the big tent, our values, talents, and interests make our party unique. But volunteers are the group of people who make the Democratic Party work.

Each day at headquarters, in the community, and at home volunteers
  • Answer phones
  • Make telephone calls for volunteers and reminders
  • Update and maintain databases
  • Prepare lists and information for voter contact activities
  • Plan events
  • Join or support a candidate's campaign
  • Work on a Standing Committee
  • and much more

Below you will find a list of the current volunteer positions at the TCDP office.

This list is in order of need. It cannot be overemphasized how important having a receptionist is.

Please, if you are interested in one of the following volunteer opportunities, but think you may not have all of the skills mentioned, do not worry, we will train and assist you. The most important trait is a desire to help get Democrats elected at all levels of Government.

    Receptionist:
  • Check messages
  • Answer Phone Calls
  • Assist Callers as needed
  • Assist Drop Ins
  • Collect Donations and Distribute Thank You Gifts.
  • Light Cleaning/Straightening
    Ideal Skill Set:

  5. Minimal Computer Skills
    Data Entry:
  • Enter/update all data according to Data Entry Protocol
  • Assist Database Committee as needed.

  2. Strong to Good Typing Skills
    Fundraising Assistant:
  • Assist in organization of Events(large and small)
  • Assist in donor mining operations
  • Participate in Membership Drive activities (phone banking, etc.)

  3. Outgoing
  4. Friendly

  6. Good People Skills
    Office Assistant:
  • Continue Inventory of office
  • Assist in Organizing Office
  • File as needed
  • Proof as needed
  • Light Cleaning/Straightening

  2. General Computer Skills
    Campaign Assistant:
  • Assist in creation/organization of walk packets/call lists
  • Assist creation/updating of targeting maps
  • Assist in planning of tabling/visibility opportunities
  • Participate in Tabling/Visibility/Block Walking/Phone Banking activities
    Ideal Skill Set:
  1. Friendly

  4. General Knowledge of Democratic Process/Party Process
  5. Some Campaign Experience Useful But Not Necessary
